Part A: Hillsong Church

In my visit to Hillsong Church, I found that the church held much similarities to Citipointe. Hillsong is a world renowned organization, in which it has changed million of people's lives by its even and charity work throughout the globe. Hillsong is a Pentecostal church, whose views are almost the same as Citipointe and their religious views.

Hillsong Church was first established in 1983 as the Hills Christian Life Centre in Baulkham Hills by Pastor Brian and Bobbie Houston. Hills Christian Life Centre later merged with Sydney Christian Life Centre at Waterloo. Over 20,000 people attend services each week. Apart from the four main campuses, Hillsong Church currently has 15 extension services across Sydney. These extension services are based on either location or culture and rely on Hillsong Church for support and leadership. Hillsong Church's international offshoots include the United Kingdom, South Africa, Sweden, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Moscow and the United States.

The church's beliefs are Evangelical and Pentecostal in that it holds the bible as accurate and authoritative in matters of faith and that Jesus Christ reconciled humanity to God through his death and resurrection. The church believes that in order to live a fruitful Christian life a person should seek the baptism and that the Holy Spirit enables the use of spiritual gifts, which include the speaking of tongues. Much like Citipointe, Hillsong does also believe in the mercy and forgiveness of Christ, and must also be baptized to be reborn again.

Hillsong runs a lot like Citipointe. The church has their main Pastors, as well the services running at the same time. The sermons casually run from 6:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m, as well with youth services for young teenagers. Unlike Citipointe, the church doesn't consist of a large Auditorium, but of different rooms (varied sizes) for which certain people may be divided into. There is a main Auditorium, but its not as advanced as Citipointe's, but maybe a reason why the attendees may be more connected with each other seeing as there would be a smaller group, thus giving people the chance to get to know each other. As well with Citipointe, the Church believers to take Holy Communion, but as well do not think that the wine and bread does not literally become that of Jesus blood and flesh inside them.

Hillsong Church has an internationally recognized music ministry with songs such as "Power of Your Love" and "Shout to the Lord" by Darlene Zschech sung in churches worldwide. Originally published as "Hillsongs", Hillsong Church now produces its music through its own label, Hillsong Music Australia. Hillsong Music has released over 40 albums since 1992, many of them achieving gold status in Australia, and one of them, Just like Us" achieving platinum status. The church's 2004 live 'Praise and Worship album "For All You've done" reached #1 in the mainstream Australian album charts (ARIA) . But above all, Hillsongs church (Garden City) is not that of Citipointe’s livelier atmosphere. The technology is at standard of good use, and as well with lighting and sound is valuable. In comparison, Citipointe has greater standard than Hillsong (Garden City), but the whole of Hillsongs (Organization) is far more reputable than that of Citipointe.
